The Youth Club meets each Wednesday from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Oving Jubilee Hall, High Street, Oving, PO20 2DG.

The Club is open to all young people from the local community aged between 9 and 16.

Entry is only £1 a night.

Our professional youth leaders, Tracey and Dan, have plenty of ideas to keep members entertained and stimulate their minds.  And there is always the opportunity to practice table tennis skills or emulate the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United at table football – we have a great table!

The club has negotiated broadband access at the hall.  A wireless router and laptop computer allows club members controlled access to the Internet – perhaps to help with homework, but also to explore this rich source of information. To support the initiative, we offer advice and help on Internet security to ensure safe use of the World Wide Web.

For the more game hungry, we have an ‘XBox 360 Kinect’ games console with a variety of games. Not only can members test and develop their reflexes in action games, but they can also practice those dance moves with a little bit of fitness improvement thrown in! We can also offer indoor football, badminton, cookery and art as well as occasional one off projects such as dance tuition.

Not all club activities are based at the Jubilee Hall and we have held a number of very successful residential activity events at the County Council’s facility at Lodge Hill. The club has taken part in a community poppy event, participated in the Stone Pillow sleep-out for charity, visited the Woodhorn Farm, worked with a visiting poet and made cakes for charity.

Our leaders are always open to new ideas and if nothing we have on offer appeals, there is the opportunity for young people to bring their own ideas of what they want their youth club to be – it is there for them!
