June Milson
My name is June Milson. I’m very pleased to be given the opportunity of being your Community Support Worker for the Parish of Oving. I join an incredible team of volunteers who already provide an invaluable service to the parish and I am very much looking forward to working alongside them all.
A little information about myself. I have recently purchased a property in Pagham close to the beach. The property consists of two Victorian railway carriages that I am renovating which has already revealed some hidden gems with more to come, no doubt.
I have a 7 year old cross collie/lurcher called Barney. We enjoy lots of walks together and he enjoys a ball or stick, and anyone who cares to play will be a friend for life.
I also have another job working in a farm shop in Funtington where local produce is sold from the farmers in Chidham and Siddlesham. I very much enjoy chatting to the customers and many local residents enjoy shopping there, some of whom I have got to know very well over time.
I have been very fortunate to work and volunteer for several organisations including West Sussex County Council, St Wilfred’s Hospice and Age UK to name a few. These have given me the experience to be able to work for Oving Parish Council and become your Community Support Worker.
I would very much enjoy the opportunity of meeting you over a cuppa. We could meet at the Chill and Chat on Tuesday Morning in Oving Jubilee Hall or the Tea Party held monthly. Alternatively I’d be more than happy to visit with you.
As mentioned earlier, we have an amazing team of volunteers who I know get a great deal of pleasure giving back to their community.
